Location
Where Hawks Ridge is
Hawks Ridge is in Ward Nakota Isga, in northwest Edmonton, within the Big Lake area — immediately east of Trumpeter and south of Kinglet Gardens, both also covered on this site. It was established through the “Big Lake Neighbourhood Three” Neighbourhood Structure Plan, formally renamed the Hawks Ridge NSP in July 2011.
The land was originally developed by Walton before Vancouver-based Anthem Properties acquired the Hawks Ridge project, and is now developing the remaining acreage of detached and duplex homes under the Anthem brand.
Builders
Who’s building here
Hawks Ridge is developed by Anthem Properties. Builders listed as active in the community include Coventry Homes, Blackstone Homes, Jayman BUILT and Impact Homes.
A note on how we source this. The MLS® feed behind this site carries the listing brokerage, not the builder, so we cannot automatically attribute a specific home to a specific builder from the feed alone. The builder list above comes from Anthem Properties' own community materials. Hawks Ridge was originally developed by Walton before Anthem acquired the remaining ~33 acres of the project.
Schools
Schools and catchments
Catchments in developing neighbourhoods change as schools are built and boundaries are redrawn, and we would rather send you to the authoritative source than publish a list that quietly goes stale. Both Edmonton school boards maintain official address-level finders:
Enter the exact address of any home you are considering — in a newer neighbourhood, two homes a few blocks apart can fall into different catchments.
Nearby
How it compares to its neighbours
The 2 communities bordering Hawks Ridge are active new-construction markets in their own right. Together with Hawks Ridge they account for 67 active new-construction listings in one contiguous stretch of Edmonton — a genuinely efficient area to shop, since you can compare 3 communities in an afternoon.
| Community | Listings | Median price | Price range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hawks Ridge (this page) | 15 | $564,800 | $299,998 – $689,900 |
| Trumpeter east | 15 | $413,508 | $324,980 – $577,497 |
| Kinglet Gardens south | 42 | $510,744 | $349,998 – $879,900 |
The pattern worth noticing: Trumpeter sits below Hawks Ridge. Across the group, price per square foot is close enough that the differences are mostly about home size and lot type rather than a premium for the postal code.

Pricing
How Hawks Ridge prices against Edmonton
The median new-construction list price in Hawks Ridge is $619,900, about 13% above the Edmonton-wide new-construction median of $548,800.
On a price-per-square-foot basis the two are almost identical: $305 in Hawks Ridge versus $308 across Edmonton, so the headline pricier price mainly reflects home size rather than value. Within Hawks Ridge itself, price per square foot ranges from $284 to $323, a spread wide enough that lot position, finish level and builder all clearly move the number.

FAQ
Common questions
How many new construction homes are for sale in Hawks Ridge?
As of 2 November 2026 there are 15 active new-construction listings in Hawks Ridge, one of the more active new-construction neighbourhoods in Greater Edmonton. Prices range from $299,998 to $689,900, with a median list price of $564,800.
Where exactly is Hawks Ridge?
Hawks Ridge is in northwest Edmonton, in Ward Nakota Isga, within the Big Lake area. It is bounded on the west by 231 Street, on the north by Big Lake itself, on the east by Winterburn Road (215 Street), and on the south by a future Big Lake neighbourhood. It borders Trumpeter to the east and Kinglet Gardens to the south — both also covered on this site.
Which builders are building in Hawks Ridge?
Hawks Ridge is developed by Anthem Properties, with Coventry Homes, Blackstone Homes, Jayman BUILT and Impact Homes listed as active builders. The MLS® feed does not record the builder against each listing, so we cannot map an individual home to a builder automatically.
Is Hawks Ridge cheaper than the rest of Edmonton?
No — the median list price in Hawks Ridge runs about 3% above the Edmonton new-construction median.
Can I find a home with a legal basement suite in Hawks Ridge?
Rarely to never, at the moment — none of the 15 active listings in Hawks Ridge currently has a finished basement suite. A further 6 listings include a side entrance — the standard structural precursor — for buyers planning to finish a suite themselves. Confirm suite legality with the City before relying on it.
Do I pay anything to have MoveNew represent me?
No. Builder sales representatives work for the builder. MoveNew represents you instead, at zero cost — the commission for a buyer's agent is already built into the builder's budget whether or not you bring one.
What if I have a home to sell?
That is common, and it is worth planning early. The timing question is how a builder's possession date lines up with the sale of your current home — completion dates can move, and carrying two homes or bridging the gap has a real cost. Start with a free home evaluation so you know what your current home is worth, then read our guide to selling before buying new construction.
